The groups include Roma in Romania and Poland, Somali communities in Greece, Bengali women in Manchester and young socially excluded Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) men and traveller communities in Essex.

The ELIEMENTAL project, funded by the Lifelong Learning Fund (407,000 euros), takes place in the UK, Poland, Greece and Romania and will explore social and cultural barriers to entrepreneurship and the means of providing accessible enterprise education to overcome such barriers.

The project follows on from the findings of Employability - Learning through International Entrepreneurship (ELIE project) which found that the stereotypes of entrepreneurs act as a barrier to enterprise.
